This time last year I was looking for a used truck, as you can imagine it wasn’t fun. At the dealership, I overheard a gentleman getting a quote on what the dealership would give him for his truck and they low balled him close to $11K under what the blue book value was. I asked him if I could take a look at his truck and it looked incredible, had low mileage, was clearly taken care of, and it checked off my list. I asked him what he wanted for it and if we could come to an agreement.
The following week we met at the bank and had a private sale. I am absolutely in love with this truck and I recently met the same guy again who’s currently happy with his down sized hybrid car.

50% off? I think that'll probably happen when the entire economy collapses at which point it won't matter how cheap cars are. Hardly anyone will be in the market for one. We'll have much bigger problems like eating and having clean water, you know the basics.

It's definitely dropping. I got a notification last night that a car I was watching (2021 Audi) dropped $19.9k down to $62k... original MSRP $115k and avg retail today $82k.

Dealer must be frustrated and wanting to move some inventory because it's not making money sitting there.
