Slavery is forced labor with little to no pay. Slaves are treated like animals.

Lockdown means you have to stay indors.

He was talking about attacks on civil liberties. He was not equating the two. He said slavery was the worse attack on civil liberties and this lockdown was probably the second worse, not the same, but second worse. What do you think was the second worse?

This is ridiculous! You people should actually pay attention to what he actually says! He did not compare the lockdowns to slavery. He took pains to specifically say that it does NOT compare in scope or magnitude of intrusion on civil liberties.
If he had called the lockdowns "the greatest intrusion on civil liberties in our history" WITHOUT mentioning slavery then you would (rightly) complain that he might think it was worse than slavery. When he removes that opportunity you complain that he is equating them!
I guess anytime words come out of his mouth they must be considered hateful words, huh?
