"Uses" Checklist, proceeds to completely ignore the point of the checklist.. xD

The reason the checklist has the fuel off at first activation of the start switch is because you start turbine helicopters with the fuel off until the engine rpm raises above a certain level ( you need fresh air flowing through the engine) otherwise the engine will have a “hot start” and will melt/be damaged.

Essentially the “start” button should be motoring(start turning) the engine and firing the igniter (think spark plug). At this point it’s just shoving fresh air through the engine and compressing it, at a specified rpm you open the fuel to idle to allow ignition. Though I have no experience in sky cranes it’s the same principles as in the bell 206 which I have flown. Fancier helicopters have a computer controlled start sequence

That was unexpected ! I saw this in the sim as an available plane and it looked like just a random vintage helicopter, pass. Then Milviz posted on facebook have a look at the skycrane we built for msfs2024, and now you fly it and it has a glass cockpit ?!?!? I'm gonna have to take a look at this !

My uncle works at a company that has 4 of these so we get to walk around when they are in hangar for maintence they are freaking HUGE irl and the size of the blades is truly astonishing

In the next update, Microsoft and Asobo should return to saving data, planes and airports on disk, not in the cloud. This was the case in MSFS 2020 and it worked, which does not change the fact that loading and loading everything in the cloud is a bad idea. Let's hope that a better solution is found in MSFS 2028, more capacious and durable servers are introduced and the game is NOT introduced to Game Pass on the day of release. And phase out the use of artificial intelligence everywhere.

Well, as a mechanic on Skycranes in real life, this is kinda close to the real thing. Not completely, but close.

i cant seem to find a way to use the water pipe system etc. is it mission only or can you use it in free mode?
