Season 2 might be some of the best TV ever created. Absolutely brilliant!

Mr. Platt, undervalued, yet always a joy to watch. Thank you, sir.

Yep. 'Forks' is my favorite episode of the entire series. The dinner in fishes was good drama, but 'Forks' was a great development piece....and the chocolate covered banana scene between Richie and Uncle Jimmy. Great job and subtle mastery with that character Mr. Platt.

I almost cried watching the Forks episode. It was so amazing to watch Richie's transformation. I want to see that transformation in myself. It's inspiring, because I'm there. Don't know where I belong, which career path to take, low on motivation, miserable, because I feel like the people around me have discovered their passions and are thriving and I'm just wasting time getting older and am not where I want to be in life. Seeing his transformation makes me feel like it's not too late for me to get it together.

What brings Forks and Fishes together is the chocolate covered banana scene in which Oliver Platt acts beautifully. The culmination of Richie finally understanding his purpose, the audience being shown how he remembered this minute detail from 5 years ago, and the impact it could have on another person.. Just a great bit of TV.

Christmas dinner was probably the most manic feeling episode I've ever seen filmed in cinematography. It was bonkers, and incredible episode....

The first episode of season three is a fucking masterpiece. There isn't a week link in the cast. The Liz Colon Zayas episode where she meets Michael is right there with it. Just exceptional tv.

That episode is one of the most uncomfortably intense episodes of tv I’ve ever seen.
Such a great episode, so many different personalities and so many different emotions. I loved it

He's right. "Forks" is so amazing. Just beautiful. You're so proud of Richie finally coming into his own. I couldn't watch "Fishes" all at once. I started crying about 15 minutes in because it hit so close to home and was just too hard to watch. I had to take a break and couldn't get back to it for a few days. Started crying almost right away again.

Mikey's throwing forks in the Fishes episodes. Richie's cleaning forks in the Forks episode. Then, they run out of forks in the finale. This of course was done on purpose, but it's one of those things that you don't think about right away. It's the subtlety, that turns a good show into a great one. When you are able to walk away from the show, think about it, then say, "hold on, that connected to that, and that in episode 3 connected to that in episode 8." When that happens, you're really watching a piece of art.

I fell in love with Oliver Platt way back in The Three Musketeers and have followed him ever since. Great actor! And The Bear is just incredible all-around. 🙌🏼

Super underrated actor. Classic "that guy". Been great in a 100 things and most don't know his name.

Fishes is the greatest episode of television ever made in my opinion. Its comedic at the perfect times, as dramatic as possible at other times, anxiety inducing at all times, and jam packed full of elite acting. Its an absolute masterpiece.

Oliver Platt brings it, I'll watch whatever he's in ever since the West Wing. "Fishes" can't really be topped, but it's something I probably won't re-watch. So much chaos and familiarity with how a family can devolve over an evening that hit very close to home. Oliver is right about Forks though too. I'd put it up against the last episode of Shoresy season 1. Favorite moment is when they're briefing the reservations for that night and the supervisor says that the check will not get dropped on the teacher who's life-long dream was to eat there. That whole scene is a masterpiece.

Love this guy so much. He’s been killing it for 40 years in tv and film.
Fishes and forks are one of the best back to back episodes of tv ever. Both incredible anxiety inducing but for different reasons

I don't care what the reviews are saying. This show is by far the best series out. Season 3 is amazing. But you have to be passionate about food to love this show. I am a sous chef and totally understand this show. My entire kitchen looked forward to season 3 and we all love it.

It did actually feel like a stage performance

I agree with Oliver that "Forks" was absolutely amazing. "Fishes" is brilliant, one of the best episodes of television, and yet "Forks" somehow tops it in a way. It is so hard to follow up an episode like "Fishes", so the fact that "Forks" DOES meet and then top it is truly spectacular

"I wear suits now" might be best line in television over the last 10 years.
