Jeep Soundbar Sound Upgrades - add MORE bass! - CarAudioFabrication

The Jeep is notorious for having a sound bar that can be noisy and have rattles. These problems become even more apparent when installing aftermarket speakers into the soundbar. In this video I sound treat the soundbar by " sound deadening " the soundbar adding SoundSkins material and polyfill to improve the bass and audio performance. The process completed in this video makes the bass sound much more clean with improved output and the mids and highs from the rear coaxial speakers also sound less muddy. This process can be used for any vehicle with a speaker cavity.

Removing the soundbar completely took me 10 mins, and saved me a crooked neck. Thanks!

Just did the polyfill and it sounds a million times better. Now the only noise is coming from the light in the sound bar and the bar hitting the roll cage. Definitely worth $4 and 10 minutes of work

I just put Addictive Audio 6 5 in. Carbon fiber in my soundbar. It's deadened, insulated, and uses an inch and a half spacers so no need for cutting. It rocks hard and clean

Where did you connect the new speaker wires you ran through the grommet??

Thanks for the video. I just did this for my 2014 JK soundbar. I used the Mopar Kicker coaxials ($60) and the difference over stock is striking. Factory soundbar speakers are total junk.

I just put 4 PPS4-8's in my SoundBar with Fosgate's 1" PPS Tweeters and 2 Jl 10w3v3-4s. Now I gotta do this

I replaced the soundbar in my 2014 wrangler with the 2015 sound bar because it had extra speaker holes which I used to mount the tweeters by making a bracket because I put component speaker in it.. Also, I removed the stock connector and ordered a Nomex connector that had the proper number of positions so I could run all the wires for the speakers and light and used the stock connector grommet by using a heat gun to remove the black epoxy they filled it with. Looks stock and it's easily removable like the stock one, just remove the electrical plug and the bolts and the whole thing comes down.

I did this to my sound bar in my aging TJ. It went from a sound similar to what a tablet may have to a sound similar to a higher end television, which is vastly superior to the tablet-like sound. It will likely never have a premium bass sound with screeching treble and rich mid tones. But it is much, much, better. My aging TJ has the soft top and the soft doors so there is only so much that can be done with an open type vehicle. But I did not get a vintage Jeep for a car-like experience. I am taking the bad with the good. But this method made the bad, only slightly bad instead of annoyingly bad.

have you ever made a "blow through" box for a single cab truck? where the box is in the truck bed and the port leads into the cabin..

You guys need to find an application for sound bars in a regular cars or trucks. I am planning on putting in a 6 speaker sound bar mounted to my headliner in my 1996 Ford Explorer XLT. I believe if you design and sell similar sound bars money could be made!
