RND R1 Electric Scooter Review
Показать описание
First thoughts out of the box was very nice looking scooter. I had to manually connect the handlebars and they came with convenient grooves to keep them set. Screws aligned to the top so it keeps them from rattling. I added the E brake and the bell to handle bars and everything was ready to go. I of course charged the battery up to 100% prior to giving it the first run.
The foot accelerator is not that bad as i first thought. After riding other scooters with the handlebar accelerator this might have been a bad idea, but it wasn't. It was easy to use and it is similar to the foot pedal in your car. Push down for speed. Let up to slow down. Speaking of slowing down the E-Brake works very well on this scooter. Almost too good. I have to lean back some in order to compensate for the quick braking it provides, otherwise I might have fallen over!
I had it going to about 20 km/h (12mph) on sport mode. I had read it could do 25 km/h on a few website descriptions. It was cold so maybe on a warmer day and better pavement maybe 25?
The battery says 3-4 hours from 0 to charge. I haven't drained it yet so I cant tell if that is true just yet. The battery itself is housed under the deck. The deck seems very sturdy and will take up to 220 pounds.
It comes with a android only app that shows its speed, battery %, time of current and total rides and avg speed. It also lets you go switch from 3 modes. Each one drops the speed by 5 km/h from sport (fastest) mode.
The RND R1 is fairly light coming in at 9.9kg or 21.5 lbs. It is easy to fold and unfold. You just turn the steering pole a to the right or left and click the holding pin. It connects snugly into the back of the rear fender. The fender is made from plastic as is the last portion of the brake area/wheel. This houses the brake light and the charging port/battery lights. It seems to be a thicker plastic and more sturdy than others. The mudflap also has metal inside to help with braking.
In conclusion I thought the RND R1 out of the box is a very nice pleasant well made electric scooter. I wish it could go a bit faster but I was happy with the acceleration and braking of it. Everything seems well built and well thought out in terms of a electric scooter for commuting around the city.
I will give this RND R1 scooter a 4.5 stars out of 5.
