This is a kinetic typography short I created because I absolutely adore Dylan Marron's voice work for Carlos the Scientist of WTNV, and I wanted to do something special for it. :]

After reading "It Devours!" and knowing that the word "neat" it's Carlos' favorite word every time I hear it it is x100 times cuter

the way I see it in my head is so fucking funny.

they're just sitting together - on the couch, at the table, on a blanket in the yard watching the glow cloud as the Sun sets, who knows, who cares? - and Carlos is rambling about nothing and everything and time, and then he says, "I just... uh, I thought it was time for us to build a home together."

Cecil: *staring, mouth open, wide-eyed*

Carlos: C-Cecil?

Cecil: *awkwardly yelling* YES!!

Carlos: *jumps from the sudden yelling* Whoa, okay, glad to know you're enthusiastic, love, but-

Cecil: *still awkwardly yelling* THAT WOULD BE- WELL, THAT WOULD BE NEAT!!

Cecil says he recorded this (since he's never without his microphone!), so do you think he plays it back for himself while Carlos is stuck in that other world? Just to hear his voice when he gets too lonely...
Dangit, I'm not even that far along in the podcast! I should not be having such maudlin thoughts! I just got to The Deft Bowman for void's sakes! I need to take my strexmeds and get some sleep.
Gotta be happy.

I needed to use a monologue for an audition class I'm a part of, and I chose this. I genderbent it(Cecilia and Carla :3) and cut it down a little (just a tad under 2 minutes so I don't get cut off), and it's amazing to work with. Everyone in class thinks it's adorable.
