We had lights called Twinkle lights that were coloured and the bulbs individually blinked slowly on and off . As they blinked they made a quiet “tink” sound, I loved spending the first couple evenings with the real tree with just the lights tinking away as I sat in the dark smelling the tree and loving the lights.
I’ve heard a lot of people saying they want to go back to simpler Christmases this year, especially as it’s just become marketing madness with no real religious meaning behind it mostly. With the state of world affairs it’s hard to feel festive anyway.
I’m looking forward to Vlogmas and hope it isn’t stressful for you trying to please us, just be you Jana that’s what we come for, just a nice visit. Take care, be happy and well. 🥰🙋🏼‍♀️

Wow, I am so excited to see your Vlogmas. I would love if you could include a few of these ideas. It would be great to see your Christmas cookies. Some years Christmas does sneak up on you, but it will come slowly, I got my Christmas mugs out today, and nothing a few lights won’t eventually cure! Then the tree, and you will be captured in the spirit! 🎄! I thought I ordered a sock advent from Molly of a homespun house and just discovered I did not or must not of checked out! And I was looking forward to that, since summer, at least I got the joy out of thinking a treat was coming, and I was so happy we have a mail strike in Canada, that is how I found out, I actually never ordered it, oh well, next year I will press check out right away! ❤

Yay! Jana's vlogmas! :D I have a combination of white and colored lights on my tree and I have loads and loads of ornaments of all kinds. My tree is definitely not "sophisticated". More like a little over the top. :D It is definitely the focal point of the holiday in my house.
