This gel gave great results but definitely requires refreshing! I would use this more in the winter when it's not humid. For the high price though, I don't think it's worth it unless you don't have very frizzy hair.

I had the same results. Definitely a lot of frizz even on day 1 😮!!! Not enough hold for me!!!

I tried this two days ago and I have the same kind of hair as you. This gel was a no for me it gave me zero hold. Best gel I have found is Ouidad advanced climate control gel the stronger hold one in the red bottle.

I have wavy hair that’s in greying transition and I have played around with this gel quite a bit with the no9 serum. I have found that I should use less (I have shoulder length hair so I use about a teaspoon on wet hair so not sectioned and not damp as per Olaplex suggests) and it works much better. I found like you that using it as recommended dulled my hair and left it frizzy on day 2. Not my favourite gel but the pay off to make it work better means less hold but as my hair is also pretty fine, hard hold gels just make my hair look a bit dull and blond hair is difficult to make it look shiny at the best of times. A little gel on wet hands on day 2 does remove the frizz but as I am wavy and not beautifully curly like you, your refresh technique doesn’t work for me as it just stretches out my 2b to 3a waves and curls. Any suggestions for more wavy hair would be great. Love your videos. They are so helpful and in-depth.

This gel was such a disappointment from Olaplex. I have tried it continuously for a month and by day 2 I have no hold and too much frizz. What are Olaplex thinking??

I had issues with Olaplex. I didn't realize it has silicone, and I was using a clarifying shampoo that didn't remove the buildup. My hair just got drier, brittle, and very frizzy. It is not worth the high price.
