OK, starting to get into Waxahatchee. I'm 63, takes me a while to get into something new. But I'm liking this.

The album has made it to my top ten ever. Seriously. This is so beautiful. So real. I'm in love with it. And that is rare.

This is my favorite album of year. Knowing Emmylou and Lucinda are influences makes it even sweeter. I've been a huge fan of Lucinda Williams going back to her debut. It takes uncommon talent to make music that can touch what she was doing in the 90's and right here we have it. While I also really like Waxahatchee rocking out, this is just magic.

Saw them at Wolftrap in Vienna, VA w Sheryl Crow & Jason Isbell in June 2022. Of the 3 bands, this one rocked it. Fantastic show. Her songs are from the heart.
