a film about growing up

Looking forward. That's how I feel I've lived a lot of my life. But now, after 2 decades of being on this earth, I think it's time to examine what I've been living for.

。✧*.。A life lesson。✧*.。:
I've stopped listening to music that have toxic context; which have improved my life fr. Ppl don't really think about how much things we see and watch actually impact our thoughts and mood. Majority of the lyrics are negative and toxic (same goes with many TV-series/shows and movies). I hope this helps someone who’s stuck with toxic content.

Toxic contents are good in the way that it can open our eyes and ears about what actually is toxic/bad/wrong - so we therefore can distance ourselves from toxicity. So observe, learn and act.

Toxic things/people are just distractions... toxicity prevents us from being productive and grow as persons, so we need to change these toxic patterns. We need to respond and act the opposite of toxic (we need to respond and act with KINDNESS). Our purpose in life is to live and learn from our mistakes and therefore make this world better and SAFER. Peace and love.

I adore your color grading. Growing up definitely is a roller coaster ride. I'm only 17. Turning 18 this year. All this fuss of being a 12th grader preparing for finals while also looking for colleges had put me on edge. Growing up is like turning a stone never knowing what you can expect to see. Seeing my life take a shape so different is quite overwhelming but inevitable. So thank you for putting all of this together and helping with my chain of thoughts. Happy 2024!

this was so well put together. i’m currently in my teens and have really struggled with being anywhere but the now and have gravitated towards photography to help me ground myself in the present and embrace the joys that i experience each and everyday while also finding the balance of looking back at old pics with fondness and nostalgia but also being able to let them go and look forward to the current times and those to come. thank you for making this and reminding me of where my camera lens should be pointing.

I feel you bro, im turning 20 this year as well and its still hard to comprehend im a literal adult now, free to do anything i please. What you said about living looking forward rather than living for the present is so true. I feel like recently I’ve been waiting for a day where I will suddenly wake up and feel like an “adult”, but what ive realized lately is that day will never come and its on ME to make those changes i want to see and only then will I actually feel like an “adult”.

Great video and love the editing!

Currently on my 22's and I will be honest: I find myself always looking back at what I did, and not living the present as I should. Thank you for reminding me.

love this; turning 30 soon and coming in with this attitude; looking to embrace the next chapter of my life and learning to appreciate the things around me

i loved everything about this video. as someone who's turning 20 later this year, it was nice reminder to take things one step at a time especially since we live in such a fast paced world. also, the color grading, the editing was *chef's kiss*!

“I’ve been living to move forward” I am so feeling like you right now. It is so frustrating to not enjoy now and just hop onto the next thing . Great work!

Very well said. I'm 57 now, and have really just learned the art of living one day at a time. Like a gourmet meal, life is not meant to be scarfed down to get to the next course. Enjoy every bite. Life is so much more meaningful that way, and often times the parts you just want to muddle through have so much more to offer if you take the time to visit with them rather than just scrolling through to get to see what's next.

You don't know how much this resonates with me.
I'm not 20 yet but feels like life's been a undecided marathon till!
I'm not saying that I'm tired but there's an uncertainty, of the exact same thing you said!

Yes. So glad to have run into your account! This is so beautifully put together. I’m also turning 20 soon, I can really relate. it’s crazy how time flies! I need to stop looking forward constantly and look ahead to where I’m walking right now. Enjoy what God has for me right now. One foot in front of the next. Also- greatt book recommendation👀- I love John piper!!

You did an absolutely bang on job with this video!
Genuinely loved every single second of it. Straight to the point, concise. But at the same time, very very relatable.
The cinematography was also absolutely on point, as well as the music, and especially the narration.
Great job dude! Keep it up! And I wish you the best of luck in life!

Great job on the video! I’m 25 and I highly recommend that you do slow down. Take a gap year, go explore the world, study abroad, live in a van, chase your dreams. I went through college and then went right into a job. It’s nice to have money to spend but at the expense of the life in my 20s becoming mostly work, it’s something I wish I would’ve not jumped into immediately.

You’ve got the rest of your life to work, go try new things and chase your dreams for a bit, see what takes off. Don’t be scared to step outside of your comfort zone now, you can always get a job down the line. If I had to recommend one thing if you end up getting a job right out of college, go remote. Use that time you work to travel the world while you work. It’s the best decision I made when starting my career and I won’t change that in the future.

Keep working hard and ask any questions you have. You’ve got a massive talent and you’re going to be successful!

Woah, this is one of the most relatable pieces of media I’ve ever come across. I’m turning 20 this year, I’m back in school after dropping out a few years ago, giving myself a second chance. I’ve recently discovered a passion for photography, and it’s helping me pace myself, and see life in a more positive way. Good luck to you, man! Your work is epic :)
