After diagnosing the most likely cause of no cool air moving from the A/C vents, or warm air moving through the defroster vents of my '06 Odyssey EX-L, I watched this video. Went out & bought the part ($40 at AutoZone), came home and got it installed in 10 minutes. Viola', cool air flows once again! Many thanks to this gentleman for posting this video -- it's clear & complete and gave me the confidence to do the job. And needless to say it saved a bunch of $$$. One point that might help on the installation on the part: the left side screw is reasonably easy to get to with a 6-inch long Phillips head screwdriver; HOWEVER, the right side screw cannot be removed with that same screwdriver. You'll need a shorter one, say no more than 4-inches. I didn't have one but used a 3-inch long slot screwdriver that worked very well. THANKS AGAIN!!

Thanks so much! I replaced the relays and it only got worse! (No fans at all.)
I got a $21 resistor on Amazon and followed your instructions.
At 68, It was tough to crawl on that floor, but my fans are all working and blowing cold ccx air!
Thank you from no-longer-too-hot Florida. 👍🇺🇸

Thank you very much. It worked like magic. Just want to add that it is easy to unplug connector once you unscrew it from the slot.

You seriously ROCK! Thank you so much for the detailed video and description! My front fan stopped blowing yesterday and the back was blowing hot air. I was so frustrated with the thought of taking it to the mechanic to get it fixed after we just had to spend a bunch getting the belt tensioner replaced a month ago. Drove around to several auto zones, found the $40 part, replaced it in 15 minutes, and it's back blowing gloriously cold air. Can't thank you enough 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Thank you for this.  My 2007 Odyssey was having similar issues.  I spent $70 after tax for: cabin filter ($7.49), blower motor resistor ($39.99), relay for the A/C clutch ($5.49), and two relays for the blower motor ($11.98).  After about 15 minutes of labor, we now have a working air conditioner.  I was very happy not to have to replace the condenser again.  Thank you again, you made life so much easier.  Cheers!!

This was the fix for my 2006 Honda van too! I was lucky enough to have an engineer ( who very kindly )helped fix the broken tiny resistor in the part itself. He did mention to avoid those 20 dollar replacement parts. Thank you for the video.

Thanks for the post. For anyone watching, watch the end (11:05) to see how to take off the under panel first. Solved my problem of front blower not working, back blower working but no cold air. 2007 Odyssey EX.
Fixed for $40.

Thank you!!! Was ready to cancel our Spring trip because no AC and the Dealer wanted $600 for new resistor and blower. Nothing wrong with blower and got resistor at Auto Zone for $39! Took longer to drive to Auto Zone than the 10 min to replace. Also grateful for the tip on re-installing the protective cover under the glove box.

So here was the deal:
1) Honda Part List: $298
2) Honda Diagnostics: $149
3) Labor to replace the Resistance Transducer: $125
4) Leaving the car at the dealer

Total: $ 629.20 (Included Tax)

So here how I did it:
1) Google Search: 15 min
2) Youtube: 13.38 min
3) After Market Part: $35 Shipped in 1 day
4) My time: 20 min to remove and replace

Total: $35 (even if I charge $125/hr labor, $155 - still Worth it)

Thank you all. easy job

Mine went out today and this fixed it. No one had it in stock so I went with a Honda genuine part. paid 30% more but the wife needed to use the car and it's hot. Thanks man!

Thank you for your instruction! It worked for me too. There were no surprises during the installation. I recognized all the parts from your video. You covered everything. 2006 Odyssey blower in the front did not blow air for either the heater or AC, even on high setting. I replaced the blower resistor and it works now. Auto Zone charged me about $65.00 for the Duralast blower resistor and $17.99 for the STP Cabin Air Filter. That was changed too since it was overdue... it was pretty dirty. Thanks again.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for your video....Was almost going to take it to the dealer even after a quote of $250-350 to fix it. The part cost me $74.00 and took about 30' minutes to replace. Works like a champ!!

Hey brother, I just wanted to thank you very much for posting this video. This saved me soooo much time and money. I did buy the cheaper replacement part from rockauto for ~25 bucks delivered and everything is working great. I REALLY appreciate this. Awesome to share you knowledge and experience. God Bless.

Thanks! I bought the resistor on eBay for $13.10 DELIVERED! and my son-in-law and I installed it in around 20 minutes. If either of us had been smaller, it would have probably gone faster. But seeing that we are both around 6'4" and I am fat as a whale, there just wasn't enough room without taking out the front seat. But seeing that he is young and lithe, and willing to withstand a certain amount of pain, we threw down and "got-er-Done!" So for the unbelievable cost of less than $14, a tiny bit of time on the old internet, and a few minutes effort, our 2006 Odyssey once again has blowing air for Much Needed Heat! Yeah! Once again... Thanks for pointing us in the right direction...

Thank you for the video.. My Odyssey had the same symptoms. I just got the parts from Autozone and went to a mechanic friend who installed the resistor and the cabin air filter. The cost of the repair including the parts was $100. I did buy a different brand of the resistor that had lifetime warranty instead of the 1 year warranty that Santech offered. It was $26 more than the Santech.

OMG!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH.  My wife thinks you're a hero now.  I have a 2006 Odyssey, and I (I meant you) fixed the problem EXACTLY the way you described. I even bought the same part from Autozone for $40.  Anywhere else (Pepboys, O'reilly) only carries the BWD brand which costs $120 - $170.  Either way the A/C is blowing cold air front and back.  I can't Thank You enough.  You're the Man.
