Tractor Tip Tuesday: Connecting Quick Couplers

Показать описание
Here is a tip on how to disconnect and reconnect your hydraulic quick couplers. You might hear these called disconnects, fittings, quick releases, or some other variation, but they all mean the same thing. If you can't get your quick couplers to reconnect, then most likely it is due to the built-up pressure in the lines. This must be relieved before you can re-connect. Try giving this tip a try and see if it solves your problem.

Dude!!! This right here!!! THANK YOU from my pasture. My grapple stopped working and it was a coupler that popped out. The pressure relief hack worked! Thanks for all the great info.

I've been looking for a simple explanation on how to relieve pressure and disconnect/ connect hydraulic lines. This video covers that beautifully and simply. Thank you so much!

Thanks for spending your time on this video it sure saved some for me. Hurricane Sally made a mess of my place we were right in her path. Thankfully our home stood strong but she did a number on damn near every tree and small building in our community. Your vid was a huge help with our backhoe attachment for the MF253. Couldn’t remember how to release the pressure on the AUXILIARY HOSES hadn’t used it in a while. Thanks again from south Alabama.🇺🇸🇺🇸🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸

John Deere 1026r. Could not figure out what was wrong after moving the front end loader stick, looking for a pressure relief valve....On the second day of angst I decided to check YouTube. Although not a one handed solution on my tractor, I never the less relieved the pressure through the connector end and walla!! Back in business. Thank

Thank you VERY much. I was dumping pieces of logs on a brush pile today and 2 of the couplers on my loader hoses got "pulled out" of the (base(?). I knew I had to release the pressure on the lines, and did, but I couldn't get the lines to go all the way back into the coupler. Apparently, I'm not pushing/pulling the slidable ring back far enough so the hose end can go in all of the way.

I subscribed to you channel--I'm sure you'll have other great stuff that I can do on my own for my tractor. I have a 2009 Massey Ferguson 1533 with a DL 120 loader. Thanks again!

Mostly worked, the bucket is operating properly but the coupling is not tightly seated like the other ones are. I disconnected and released pressure and again I can get it in but not firmly. Didn’t want to tap it with hammer or anything without your comment/ advice! Thanks in Tx.

Thanks for the informative video. Good to know. I'm a Kubota fan but some people like Fords some Chevys. I have had good luck with Kubota for years but just traded my old tractor for a new MX5800 with a front loader and I'm fairly new to hydraulics, so thanks for the helpful tips.

Thanks for the tip. Just got a new 4044M and couldn’t reconnect the grapple hose, had to bang the end on something a couple of times to loosen it but it worked. Had a rag over it and still got sprayed a little bit 🤷🏻‍♂️

Also, if you have a third hydraulic function for a grapple or 4:1 bucket, you can relieve the hydraulic pressure by having tractor off, then turn key on so power is on tractor then press your "open-close" toggle on your control valve. Then turn key back off. If you listen, you may even hear the control valves moving while toggling.

Excellent. Had trouble connecting couplers but tip of draining oil from coupler worked GREAT.
