Fujifilm has some great lens options to choose from - I got a great deal on the Fujifilm 16-55 f2.8 a while back. Here are some thoughts on it, and what I use it for.

Super underrated lens. I took it on a Vietnam/Japan trip from Lensrentals and purchased my own soon after returning. It was so good I got rid of all the primes I had 😅

This was my first Fuji lens when I switched from Canon. When I looked at the options: 23, 35, and 50 (f/2) vs this lens which covered all of those focal lengths, I chose this, else I would have been swapping out lenses all too often when out and about. This, my first lens, being a zoom was helpful for the transition to the crop sensor (X-Pro3).

The red badge was also a selling point for me.
I like the build quality, the filter diameter is 77 mm so I was able to reuse what I already had, and the quality of the shots is high. With the X-T4/5, I’ll get the benefit of image stabilization which only makes this a more valuable purchase now than back in 2019.

So have you come full circle back to Fuji from Sony?

I sold my 16-55 in favor of the small f2 primes. After a year, I think I’m going to go back to the 16-55. I miss the versatility and it doesn’t give up anything in image quality to the primes. I’ll keep the 35/2 just to have a very compact option…

This is one of two lenses I'd love to have from Fuji. The other is the 50-140. But, right now they are not within my budget constraints! I have the 18-55 which I use a lot, often setting it to one focal length and using it in lieu of a 23 or 35 prime. Maybe some day though!! Have a great

Do you also own the sigma 18-50 besides the 16-55? I am just thinking of buying the 18-50 (for travel) as it is lightweight, but i already have the 16-55. Nice video. Thank you😊
