It was 2am. A quiet night, my family was asleep and i was sipping some kool aid while calmy clearing through a dungeon looking for loot. I look through a chest, "Meridias beacon?, guess i'll sell this to belethor." i grab the item... *A NEW HAND TOUCHES THE BEACON*



And there i was, my 11 year old self cowering in the safety of my parents room

This quest is annoying. Someone should make a mod that has the courier deliver you the beacon as a joke.

I was playing Skyrim (SE) the other day and I found the beacon again.
I literally stared at it for like 5 minutes before taking it because I was having a PTSD attack of how damn loud Meridias voice was.

I unironically love this quest. Getting Dawnbreaker, which is basically an glass sword, that early in the game is an amazing reward. It's good for a long while and takes a lot of slashes before needing to recharge it. Usually, by the time I ditch Dawnbreaker, I'm around getting elven armor from chests and starting to get glass armor.
When I first encountered Meridia's Beacon, when Meridia began speaking, I was more confused than startled.

I remember playing this on a school night as a kid at midnight and getting this and then getting the extremely loud A NEW HAND TOUCHES THE BEACON and then getting in trouble for playing too late

I remember when I was playing Skyrim my mom used to turn the internet off but that was the one game I could play and save on even though it was off so my mom walks into my room saying she thought she heard noise and I accidentally clicked x while I was in the chest my TV was off BTW and it was so fucking loud the headphones I had plugged in where blasting it
