What I love most about this video is the Audi drivers face when he’s gapping. That must be the smuggest grin that’s top ranking. Had me chuckling. He so wanted to win. I watched it twice.

Very even race. One has got 120 hp more and 400 kilos more so what happened was to be expected. Both cars well tuned not really smoking that bad for that sort of power. And both probably get over 45 mpg if driven sensibly. Best of both worlds.

We need 3 new categories. Diesel AWD, diesel FWD, diesel rwd. Then we can see the difference in diesel powered cars, when you add then to the crazy list they ain't making an impact on there petrol counterparts.

This was a cracking lineup by 2 great engine variance and a lot closer than I thought it would be with the BMW.

Team BMW for me, but I am bias, running my own stg2 435d. Pb for me is an 11.7s 1/4.
Think Ryan should have just left it in sport+ auto and let the car shift itself. Always got my best times doing this rather than flapping manually. As hard as I try to shift at "peak torque" the software always seems to do better 😅.

I would prefer the BMW 435d because it is a really sexy car. The Audi is more like a sleeper car.
