Skin tags or DPNs are small extra growths of skin which are visible as brown dots on the face. These grow over a period of months and years. Sometimes they can grow into larger small growths on the neck as round bumps. This has to be removed with a radio frequency laser at our clinic or a cautery laser or Co2 laser. This will help in clearing the growth immediately. Post procedure you will have to use an antibiotic cream which is suggested at our clinic twice daily for a week post procedure. Avoid any picking of the area with nails as it may cause more scarring. Use a sunscreen on those exposed areas mandatory once or twice a day depending on your sun exposure. Even if you are not stepping out use sunscreen every day for the next seven to ten days even if you are indoors. Avoid all facial or parlour activities such as scrubbing, bleaching, threading or facial for one week on the treated area. Use a moisturizer if required two to three times a day and mild cleansing lotion for next seven to ten days. Once the skin heals there is a possibility of dark spots which can be left on the treated area if you are not using the sunscreen or post care is not followed. You shouldn't worry about it we will prescribe you some creams to take away if any marks are left. These marks are go away if not in two weeks it may take one or two months also in some cases which is very minimal or not noticeable much. If you have any queries you can get back to us.
