I had already deleted a contact. It doesn't come up in call list but when click on new messages it comes up.
I did sync the contacts

Hey David Vo, Can you tell me How to Remove MY Name from the contacts list. Yours shows David Vo. Never understood why Samsung or any other provider thinks I need to be reminded of Who I am so much so that it Starts with My Name/Contact listed first.

Hey Samsung, there should be a List of Importance so users can sort #1 Wife as first, #2 Girl Friend as second and so on and when I bring up contact they at least get to be at the Top of the listing and in the numbered order.

I want to remove hundreds of contacts. Using the individual removal will take me years to do. Also on my phone when I hold down on a name I can only delete that name. So, something's not right. Thanks but I figured it out myself.
