Decoding the Genetic Code from DNA to mRNA to tRNA to Amino Acid

This video shows how to decode the DNA code. We convert the DNA message into the sequence of mRNA bases, then we convert to tRNA bases and finally we show the amino acids. Please note that this was originally made to prepare my students for a game we were going to play in class. It is NOT meant to teach all of the details of protein synthesis.

Hi, why does the "A" base suddenly attach to the "U" for the mRNA? Where does the U come from? Am I right to say once the mRNA leaves the nucleus, it attracts two ribosomes which are actually the amino acid factories. the tRNA then instructs it on how to make the amino acids.

Hello! Coming from you other channel. I used to teach a Protein synthesis lesson almost identical to your paper cut out lesson. I moved schools and lost my minder with the copy- do you mind sharing where you found the assignment? Thank you!

Is the DNA molecule you showed the 5’ or 3’ end?
