The most privileged people often have the biggest victim mindsets. Dealing with small business owners they incredibly often feel 100% entitled to all sorts of government subsidies and a desperate low wage workforce they can treat however they want and replace in seconds and cry about their customers giving bad reviews even when it’s their fault lol

It amazes me how many tenants take the piss. I’ve always paid my rent on time and kept the place clean and tidy. Why would I want to live in (and be evicted from), a shithole of own making?

It’s a two way street though. A lot of landlords are negligent when it comes to fixing stuff. I’m keeping my side of the deal, why can’t they?

Yeah that’s fair. There is the common idea that landlord bad, tenant good which is such bullshit.

Not all landlords are bad not all tenants are good, both come in good and bad forms as people aren’t all the same.

Now by no means is my family heavily involved with being a landlords but we do have a couple side properties that came with other land. We all hear the stories of bad landlords but here are some bad tenets, one who asked if they could have a dog in the building we said yeah just tell us how many 1-2 is fine but we don’t want a dog breeding operation and the house being rented has shared space. Nah one month in we check and they have 10 dogs and puppies, and better yet don’t clean up after them. Stuff is scratched, torn and stinks and having to fight with people over stuff like this gets exhausting.

I truly believe that most landlords and most tenants are good people, but there are always the bad apples. People really do need to ditch the landlord bad, tenant good mindset though it’s just stupid.
