Stanford radiologists recently used their high-tech tools for historical research by working with the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco to scan the remains of a mummy from their ancient history collection.

It is interesting how an ancient technology, mummification, can now be studied with the tools of latest technology. Perhaps in a few thousand years, and even more advanced technology will similarly be used to study the relics our present society.
