I review the new Callaway Apex UW Utility Wood / Hybrid providing my personal feedback on the looks, feel and performance numbers using TrackMan. This rescue hybrid is a cross over between a fairway wood and a hybrid. I never had a club that squares itself up at the bottom of the swing like this one.Absolute straight rockets with this thing and wow what a feel/sound!It's a keeper!!

I love my Apex UW so much. I put a Ventus Red 8X in there and it’s just been a terrific combination. Love how easy it is to flight high into a green or low off a tee depending on what you need. If somebody tries it but finds it hard to hit, the Cleveland Hy-Wood is a more forgiving option that’s sort of in the same vein. Also Cobra has a 5W that has rails and is only 41.75 inches stock — last year it was called the Radspeed Tour but I don’t know off-hand what this year’s model is. That one was underrated as well.

I have been saying this for months that this club is the one of the best releases Callaway has had in years and no one talks about it. The ball speed and forgiveness with this club is off the charts! I have the 17 and 21 in the bag!

I didn’t even know this club existed and went into the golf store to replace a 3 and 5 wood and ended up walking out with this puppy in a 19 degree. Things awesome.

I added the 17 degree UW with a Ventus Blue 7x to my bag and removed my 4W which had already replaced my 3W. I LOVE this club! I mean, it's the best club in my bag bar none.

I got the 17 degree to possibly replace my 3 wood. It's surprisingly forgiving and it really is a cross between a hybrid and fairway wood. It really could replace the 3 wood if you're thinking of that. Great club!

I picked up one of these in 17 degrees and its been fantastic on tight holes as well as second shots in on par 5's, been considering the 21 degree as well potentially

I just picked up a used 19 degree one today. The fitter was in shock because I was bombing this thing farther than every 3 wood I tried! It doesn’t make much sense but it’s going in the bag for sure.

Hey Mike very nice numbers. I picked these club up last year 19 degree Tenshi blue, I'm a mid Hc and had a few really nice golf shots with this club, off the tee couple times, fairly easy to get out there, idk chioce sim2 TI 5 wood or 19 Degree UW, lol tough problem to have! I just got fitted with the UW 17 with Graphite Design AD 7S shaft. The one aspect of this club that’s great is it takes fairway wood shafts for better fitting options vs a hybrid.

Mike, you are killing me. I still love my Cobra King F7. The rails help out of crappy lies. Planning to go get fit soon for the Mizuno Drver and wedges. We will see.

Great review. Already had my eye on this one last year but it was than only available in the USA and it wasn’t certain it would come to Europe. After your review I saw one in stiff at my shop. I need something between my 3 iron and my 3 wood and booked a fitting. And this one filled the gap perfectly. And so easy to hit and versatile. Love it. Ready for the season 👍🏽

Great out of thick rough with my 21. I’m not hitting it to the left like I have my hybrids it is a nice fade on it every time; anti-draw…😄👌

I have a tm m4 3wood high launch 16.5 degrees.

I hit it well off the tee

off the deck also but only on fairly flat lies. I wonder if I should change it for this club if it has more forgiveness then a normal wood it might be more useful.

Picked one up when they first came out. Really surprising how easy they are to flight. No problems keeping it low when desired.
