OK thank you for showing me exactly what I'm getting myself for christmas this year. I've been wanting to do this plus a resonator delete on my 12 E550 cabrio for months but was waiting to see a video like this before pulling the trigger. I just wanted to add that the stock motor doesnt accelerate ANYTHING like that. The engine is set up for low end power and runs out of steam above 5k rpm. Its amazing off the line but when you're running hard in the upper rev ranges power really trickles off

The NA E63, the older generation with 518hp. This new 2014 E63 is supposed to be pushing close to 600hp... just insane!

The only mods for the E Class that I know of are for the ones with the 4.6L biturbo engine. Renntech does have an ECU upgrade for your generation, but the gains in power are pretty minimal. If you're interested, maybe you could find something better online.

I wish I did, just due to personal interest. Best bet would be to try to find videos of a stock E550 biturbo doing similar runs.

I have compared this to the E63, they seem to be just about dead even all the way to 150.

Yep, everything about the car is stock other than the Renntech tune.

I have 2014 e550 white coupe, with resonator delete, putting mild borla muffler with e 63 dual amg tip which shop will cut bumper to fit.has fake Renntech OEM emblems on trunk and fender, also E63 black carbon side mirror, K&N intake, AMG 18 in wheels

Very impressive looking at a 2013 E550 now.  I previously had an E55 AMG (a run of 0-160MPH-0 in on YouTube).  Would you recommend getting a 4matic model with the Rentech tune if possible?  (Wasn't sure if RWD is better?)  Thanks again great run.

@JH, I have a question specifically about the 2012 to 2014 E550 Sedans w the Turbo V8's. Are they capable of beating newer Dodge 392 SRT and Scat Pack cars? Thanks.

I have a 2013 E550 coupe and I just spoke with Renntech today, they claim that it is not detectable by MB so it will not affect my factory warranty. i'm a little concern about that. just wanted to get your opinion.

My father is getting a 2012 cls550 very soon and I'm trying to convince him to get this tune. Do you think he should get a cls with 4matic because of all the extra power? I saw there was some wheel spin in the kickdown to first, is it that much of a problem all the time without an lsd? Also, how has the reliability been with the tune (Have there been any transmission/engine problems from the 100 lb. ft. + extra torque)? Finally, is the difference in power pre and post tune very noticeable or is it just a slight difference? Sorry for all the questions, I would just love to know from someone who has actually done the tune to one of their cars. Thanks so much!

I hate to be a bubble buster but Ive done 168 in a 300hp C350 w/ exhaust headers n tune....almost any benz will do 155 bc thats where the limiter stops, mine went past bc i deactivated it with the tune, I also have a friend with a c63 whos bone stock hits 155.
