It's kinda weird and sad to not have him around anymore, he has become such a great part of the story and friend to the strawhats in the past like 10 years. That being said I'm also glad he still has his own ambitions and dreams and didn't become just another Luffy sidekick entirely. We'll see him again eventually, he is a D after all.
