I guess what I should have written was the following:

In MY opinion, Matt is one of the best drummers of this generation. No need for this to be a competition. I have looked up each of the drummers that have been mentioned in the comments, and I enjoy learning about any good or great drummer I can find. I can learn from bad drummers, as well as good drummers. What is important to remember, is that there is always room at the top. Matt wasn't always an awesome drummer. He had to work at it.

As Benny Greb has noted; he didn't start out being able to groove; he had to learn how to groove... The more awesome drummers there are out there, pushing the limits and leading the way, the better it is for all of us. Matt is a trailblazer, I have seen him in action. I know and have seen his dedication to getting better and practicing. This type of perseverance is what we, as musicians, should all aspire to.
