[MUSIC] 'Show & Tell' (Angel Dust Cover Ver.) (Hazbin Hotel Pilot)

A full cover version of 'Show & Tell' in character as Angel Dust, featuring originally created backing instrumentation and sound design.

This is one that quite a few of my viewers have been asking for for some time and I agree that it's a track that fits Angel as a character nearly perfectly. The instrumental was incredibly difficult to recreate as the original had lots of different effects and attention to small details, but I'm very proud of how it came out. The vocals themselves were equally complex to do because of how many parts there were to consider.

As with past covers like 'We'll Meet Again', the sound design in the 'introduction was an attempt to better match Angel with how Melanie Martinez originally performed the song. The intent was to make it sound like he's putting on an "innocent" tone in how he says some of the lines, with the song being an internal monologue that he's thinking about when he's been forced to go on stage.

I love it when Angel performs songs like these. He puts on a show but through the lyics he calls out for help.

"Are ya listening yet?" gave me such chills. And though the innocent tone you were going for is totally there, it also wasn't hard to imagine Angel drugged out of his mind. Perfect song, perfectly done.

Just for a bit of more support I really like the opening as a demon introduces angel dust on stage and how the crowd cheers, it really gives you a picture instead of just listening to some guy singing a cover for a spider. Its seriously remarkable how you add your own hint of spice to your projects and thats what i call entertainment, well done..

I've listened to this quite a few times and, still, every time it comes to Angel's muffled screaming *'Wʜʏ ᴄᴀɴ'ᴛ ʏᴏᴜ ғᴜᴄᴋɪɴ' ʜᴇᴀʀ ᴍᴇ?!'* followed by *'Are you listening yet?'* I can't help but tear up. The delivery from ya, DJ, and just how apt it is to Angel's character and the relation between him and the song at large are just phenomenal. I look forward to any new content from you, but your music is always great because I can take it with me when I go driving and blast it, haha!

This has been another fantastic choice of song for Angel, too. It really encapsulates what his outlook would be as he's 'Hell's #1 pornstar', but nobody really cares about him as a person. It's like Bojack Horseman said, 'And one day, you're going to look around and you're gonna realize that *everybody loves you*! But nobody likes you. And that is the loneliest feeling in the world...' It reminds me of Alastor's taunting Angel in one of your earlier dubs of Dreadfluent's work--I still think Angel's reply is one of your best moments with him as you nail the emotional turmoil his life would come with--'Caring Is Creepy'. 'HAH! Like? I hate to be the one to break this to you, but none of these people *like* you. They only spend time with you as an irritating means to an end. Being _used_ is not the same as being wanted, or needed.' As you perfectly articulate his emotions, Angel is completely aware of what people think of him and that very few actually care about him as a person. Other than Cherry, and possibly Charlie and at this point, there doesn't seem to be anyone else who fits that criteria. Even still, he plays his role as a 'thing', but in his own ways is screaming out for help from anyone who might understand him.

In closing, you gotta stop making songs that make me cry like a fountain, mate! Haha! No, my real closing statement is that, like always, I'm loving your work here, dude. Anything new from you is always appreciated and I'm wondering where I can throw money at you to keep making more!
