Former President Donald J. Trump sought to head off the major speech Vice President Kamala Harris is planning to deliver Tuesday night by casting her as responsible for all the nation’s ills while also attempting to draw attention away from bigoted and racist remarks at his rally in New York.
Two days after he hosted a rally at Madison Square Garden where several speakers made racist and vulgar statements, Mr. Trump accused Ms. Harris of running “a campaign of absolute hate.”
Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign said Tuesday that she had become the first political candidate to advertise on the outside of Las Vegas’s Sphere arena. The venue’s massive screen, which wraps around its outside, will feature Ms. Harris’s picture and campaign slogans. The Sphere is owned by the Dolan family, which also owns Madison Square Garden, the arena that hosted former President Donald Trump's rally in New York City on Sunday.
