I wonder why ppl are less comfortable with those who dress well. I’ve noticed this a lot in my life. I dress well everyday and notice that ppl distance themselves from me, especially after they start noticing that it’s an everyday thing with me. Sucks because what makes me happy separates me from other ppl 😕

This is a fascinating topic. I can't stand feeling sloppy but I don't like dressing up in the business attire way either. I wonder how this all stacks against the big 5 traits cause I have high openness and moderate conscientiousness and I'll head for the most ruffly or expressive things I can find in that category. I have felt style homeless in the past because of this.

I'm 35 and I dress like I'm in upper middle management and people treat as such even at the store it's funny. I see people freeze up around me like I'm their boss and this goes triple for the younger people. They can't even look me in the eye they look at the floor when speaking to me.
