It's amazing that we still have so many war veterans. I've always wanted to ask them what it was like that day.

I remember when I was a boy I used to see the World War II veteran hats all the time, sadly I can't remember the last time I saw one anymore

D-day started 15 months ahead, had to beat back Luftwaffe, destroy aircraft factories, own the skies.

It’s more than sad and disrespectful, Americas don’t show these men, and women, this type of respect and honor due them. Let alone the health care they so obviously deserve.
People in prison get faster and better health care and what does that say about our country ? What does that say about our politicians who vote to cut back funding for our veterans ?
It’s not only WWII, Korea, Vietnam veterans, it’s our veterans of todays time who have faced the most despicable of enemies, the Taliban and other extremist people who place no value on a human life. No matter if it’s a man, woman, pregnant woman or child.
