Learning the Lines is a channel about us, an average couple in our 20's, with big dreams to be sailing the world by the time we're in our 30's. We're not afraid to jump into anything, put in the work, and learn as we go. We started out with Somnium, an O'day 272, moved onto Freebie, an Endeavour 32, and now are focusing on sailboat tours and working full time as teachers while we save up for our next boat.

Love the hard dodger, but the downside to its design is that there is no ventilation. If you are at anchor in hot weather the cockpit would be a sweat box. You would need to add some kind of opening hatch to a forward facing window to get some air moving. This is also a problem with my canvas style dodger so we fold it down when it gets too hot. Otherwise, it is a pretty interesting boat.

A premium price for a world cruiser in premium condition. When was the last time you saw a 20 yr old boat with such perfect teak throughout and all the stainless polished to a high gloss. A lotta hours spent making her a beauty.

Rolling the specs during your final walkthrough was a classy touch and adds a lot of value to your review. Thumbs up!

I'd happily walk onto this boat for the right price and go with it. Love the centre cockpit, galley, cabin ambience... world lap! However, were I laying this out prior to building I'd like a:
1. Forward sail locker with crash bulkhead.
2. Forward cabin with two-door head
3. Bigger central area with extra seating/sea berths integrated, possibly including outboard areas above the other seating. (Flip down backrests?)
4. The workshop: no berth, more stowage, decent work bench/desk
5. Cockpit storage on the workshop side.
6. Different main winch locations possibly

Also would Add. The owner knows about ventilation in cabin a must. The big fan running to move the air. Especially in warmer climate. He cares for his vessel. I keep a heater running in my Engine compartment. And a marine heater running in my main cabin. I'm in colder climate. The Dampness starts right away if you don't ventilated those below deck areas. That fan is running for a reason.

Great looking boat. The sail inventory was pretty lacking, IMO. Makes sense with nowhere to store them though. All-in-all, a pretty nice boat. Needs a watermaker and she'd be ready to go.

Thanks for the tour!!

At $300, 000 that would be a great buy allowing any modifications to be done.
The interior was beautiful.
Have fun mate and great video again!

Beautiful from stem to stern and absolutely worth every penny of the asking price. A heartbreaker!!

Thank you for using proper terms. To explain the sail confirmation. It helps people understand the difference from power vessels to what a friend of mine called ( blow boats)
The bow thruster is really nice for larger sailing vessels to get that bow over( move bow in docking with wind & current problem's) the cover of helm station is very nice. Love on sail boats how Below Decks they use full width of vessel, all of beam is used for space for comfort/ storage. Power boats don't do that till you get to unaffordable big vessels. Could the issue you talked about at beginning be that it's a SAILING vessel, needs clear space so lines don't get stuck on hand railing, low railing to let lines for sails clear. Just my Humble observation.

You've changed up the presentation methodology. Great improvements! I love the previews before the intro. I love the stats during the continuous walkthrough. Your summary after the walkthrough was spot on. Beautiful boat! I have to agree with some of the other subscribers, I'd get a shorter cat with more enticing stats for the same price. As always, stay safe out there!

Very nice boat, I love the spacious saloon area and the kitchen, and the aft cabin. I always preferred center cockpits and this one was really nice with the hard dodger and folding bimini... this is perfect for a young family.

Your love of that forward head would diminish after your first offshore passage. Even with a seat belt the experience would disappoint. 😀 I would advise continuous pumping during use.

For 400k you can find a really recent 40ft catamaran witch is gonna be quicker, cheaper to maintain and much more pleasant to live on board, at least in my opinion.
Thanks for sharing your boat tour video.

Absolutely stunning boat, I loved the galley layout! Definitely need some added hand rails on the deck and maybe a deck box of sorts but otherwise it would be a dream to live aboard on her. Thank you for sharing a walkthrough ✨

Interesting boat and layout choices. Great boat for a family with up to 4 kids!

What a beautiful boat and obviously very well maintained! For sure Not a single handler but with a small crew it should be a blast to sail!

One of your first comments on boarding and moving forward was lack of handholds. Pretty much normal on a sailboat! Easiest option would be to replace the top cable between the stanchions with SS tubing welded in place.
No deck accessible bow locker REALLY sucks, especially if you like to fly a spinnaker.
Personally, if I was thinking about using this for long distance sailing, I'd consider changing most (if not all) of the bimini to a hardtop at the same height as the bimini to add a couple more solar panels.
Overall, a very nice boat with the "dings" that I put above. Worth a half million? Not to _me_ at least.

Enjoyed this presentation with the specs scrolling through the final walk through. Haven't cared for the final walk through as it seemed redundant but the specs along with it went well together. The beginning views was also a nice change up. A watermaker on a world cruiser would seem essential.

Nice practical spacious boat with nice lines outside and great kitchen and living area and a decently sheltered helm.

For a 56 foot boat the layout makes it look small and cramped. It is good for sailing with a crew for short periods but for long term sailing or liveaboard i would not want it. I don't know if it was the sun or camera but for the top side looked like it needs repainted
