Can we all agree that his pond analogy was Good asl. I understood exactly what he was saying! You just earned a sub for that👍

I bought the Sub 6 for it's real estate size and to add some bottom to my Vanatoo TO speakers. It is a sexy little beast in white. I don't know much, but I do know that combo is the best sounding computer speakers I've ever owned. I call myself a barnyard Audiophile. I strive for the best in my price range.

First time watching your videos; I gotta say, awesome content! Your knowledge on all of this is quite inspiring, it's passion! Subbed *pun completely intended*

Thanks for the sub crawl info, never heard of that before and thought I would need a Dirac/rew mic or similar

Paul from PS audio recommended to sent full range signal to the speakers and use a sub at the point where speakers can‘t naturally do Bass anymore without any crossover on speakers. What do you think about that?

Thanks for the post. Enjoyed the video, had a good laugh at the rants and learned an awful lot about subs. You had the easiest explanation for the the phase switch I've ever seen/heard. It isn't a difficult concept yet nobody has ever taken the time to explain it.

Hey, the world is missing your review on the presonus subs, especially the new sub8! Are you thinking of reviewing that anytime soon? I'd like to listen to your thoughts before I purchase.

Crutchfield just put these on sale for $199. I am in 11x12 room I think this will be just fine. Also since this video is released they have upgraded the amplifier on it.

I got Sub6 for $140 on Amazon, should be one of the best in price range considering.

I have the kanto TUKs and the Sub8. Is a sub splitter really worth it?

But, how would they sound with the Yu4, what they were meant for?

I buy a Martin Logan 400. Get up in the morning, and this video pops.
Think I still did well, and got a great deal. Keep doing your thing.

The sub6 is not made anymore and they only make the sub8 now as a revised model for 2022. I wonder how the sub8 of old versus the 2022 sound like. I have not found any videos on the comparison.

I've seen the videos on the miniDSP, but i'm still a bit unclear on what it is. Is it an alternative or an addition to a DAC?

The reason the small 6" sub plays too much high frequency information, even when set on its lowest crossover frequency, is because the slope of the built-in network is probably way too gradual--like maybe 6db/oct. This could have been easily remedied by programming the low pass filter in the Mini DSP to a much steeper slope like 24db/oct.--Also, crossing over a very small speaker at 42hz is way too low--because of crossover slopes--even at 24db/oct-- it will still pass signals well below the crossover frequency. IMHO, a crossover frequency of 80hz or even 100hz would be much more appropriate--especially if a complementary high pass filter is programmed in the DSP unit. I am sold on this concept as it siphons off the low frequency "slam" to the sub which greatly clarifies the mid range of the upper units and also has the benefit of increasing the power output of those units while decreasing distortion. That's the beauty of the Mini DSP--infinite programmability.
