I think he was the best 5 year wonder of all time, 4 all star games, 2 vezinas, stanley cup, 1 conns smythe. In just 5 years, and around 33 years old

Well done per usual, Dafoomie.

God this guy was a black and gold WALL when we needed him to be. Some will view this video and say - "well that one was lucky". When you do it routinely...it's not luck.

Long live the "Battlefly".

Without a doubt one of the most satisfying players to watch. I love and miss his all over the place saves and no BS attitude. one of the best goalies Boston has had

Ill miss Timmy. The shenanigans he pulled in net are pure wizardry. I don't think ill ever have the confidence in another goalie like i had in him. I wish him the best of luck though. He will always be a bruin to me

I miss this guy. I wish him luck in whatever he does after his NHL career

Wow I am amazed at how fast he gets up after his saves. I understand that goalies need to be quick but damn dude he really does get back on his toes really fast.

We were blessed to witness a very entertaining goalie. Best goalie to graze the NHL post Marty B,

I've only seen Tim Thomas for 4 minutes and 48 seconds but if anything happens to him I'll cry, he is funky little dude and I love him,

Not sure if he will ever get into the Hall, but what a fun goalie to watch. I can still watch his 2011 season and just marvel at how he was able to fight for every save.

From about 2:43 to 3:16 I got the same stomach in the throat feel I got while watching those games live. What a roller coaster ride that was. Thanks Timmy!

I respect his reasons for leaving hockey for a year. Family comes first and work comes second. however I think what made a lot of us boston fans angry is the fact that he came back to hockey. I'll always remember 2011 though, wouldn't have been possible without this man

My god, 4:30 is just the definition of Timmy Thomas. That save was inhuman. Thanks for the memories Timmy. Can't wait to give you a standing O.

Timmy Thomas played like he sold his soul to the hockey gods; especially in the '11 playoffs.

I miss Timmy so much in Boston.
The guy had that thing you can't learn in any clinic.
The never give up factor.
He played his balls off to get the cup back to Boston.

Favorite goalie ever. Reason I decide to play goalie. Many ppl dont realize that the bruins sucked before 2010, he was the only reason they were anywhere, pisses me off that we gained so many more "fans" after he almost single handedly won us the cup.
Then he doesnt play at the same level we are all used to and those "fans" boo him and say he sucks? Pathetic. Not to mention when he left he did us a favor more than anything, he wanted a cup and got one(well deserved too) and wanted to focus on family. He left us with a cup and gave rask the spotlight hes earned, and helped our future. Gaurentee rask wouldnt be half as good now w/out that. As much as id rather see my favorite player retired as a Bruin, he deserved to do what he chose. All he did was good for Boston and orher than the 2011 season, all he got in return was bullshit and boos from fake fans.

Thomas in 2011 is what happens when a player who survived on pure athleticism at the NHL level, learned to play positionally too.

Future goaltenders take note. Simply breaking down the butterfly won't cut it, its stiff and leaves openings all over the place. Do it all in motion and different variations, put your body into it. Read players, use foresight, and sharpen intuition. Be agile, confident, and aggressive. Never give up, even if it seems that you're beat.
