The best example for above explanation is Tamil Nadu. Most of the violence against Dalits is actually done by Shudras like Goundor, Mudaliars, Thevars, etc

Read Mango colour fish by Kaveri Nambisan. She has shown the discrimination of a lower cast by a low cast in our own Tamilnadu.

If I'm not wrong, Ambedkar talked about graded inequality where it is said that one caste even though is oppressed further oppreses a caste lower in the hierarchy.

Ambedkar fIared division in Hiindu community while Veer Savarkar advocated unity among all without fak'e cast'eism (Brit'ish disinformation).

Maratha, Kshatriya, OBC have been the biggest oppressors of SC/ST. Brahmins never had any money or muscle power to discriminate. Only discrimination they could do is to stop entry into the temple's which is discrimatory but not oppressive. Forced labour, sexual assault, not giving access to resources is oppressive and was done by the village strongmen who never where Brahmins.

A very devoted lay follower of Sri Ramakrishna confided in him: "Most of what I heard from you I hold most dear. But try as I might, I cannot accept your idea about reincarnation. Would it affect whatever I gained from you as a disciple?" His Guru said, "Not at all, feel free to take only what you can sincerely accept. But do not be so extreme as to think only that aspect of anything which you understand is the totality of it."
