Just bought my first pair… I’m 56 and doing dance skating. A very impressive set so responsive, love the Edea Rondo and variant plate.

I am 54 and going back to artistic skating (figures, free dance, and free skate -only single jumps, spins) I love my EDEA rondo boot and variant plate!

I got The EDEA rondo with variant plates in November after having Reidell and Snyder plates for years!

hey! I really like your reviews. I comb YouTube for good skate gear reviews from knowledgeable people and I have to let you know, that I find yours the most honest, most informed, and most informative of them all. in other words... I trust your word on gear more than anyone else. oh! and... i agree with you... I don't think most people go deep enough into the technical study of what their gear does or does NOT do. thank you my good man! subscribed

love my rondo and concerto boots, my only issue when i first got them was the concerto boot i bought without being fitted and, e being a size 10 m in mens got the 295 c from edea. after sometime skating the boot was very tight due to the padding, after i heat molding with a blow dryer the boot i got was too perfect and not accounting the swelling of my feet through out the day. My second toe is the longer than my big toe so on my right foot feels a bit uncomfortable if i wear thick socks. Then i went to a shop and got fitted and the rondo boot my size was 295 wide. my rondo boot feels like heaven ...wish i went and got fitted first..the edea toe box are a bit narrow so keep that in mind

Hello. My friend from the 🛼Rink, let me try out her Classica with Variant (teal cushions) and loved the feel of the Variant plate. I didn’t like the chunky fit and look of the Classica boot, because I have a narrow foot. However, coming from an original Lolly setup—I felt a huge difference!

So, after watching your video, I am going with Rondo boot—-I like the sleek-look of the boot; I believe it will be a perfect fit for my narrow 7-inch foot.

What do you know about the Dance plate?

I do like the Variant plate?

Thank you, making this video and answering my questions!🌻

Nice review comforting to know we made a good buy. I wish I could link you a picture of the failed plate to add here.

I was also looking at the classica but from the reviews I saw these were just as good for fraction of the price

So I gotta say roll lines plates are super super nice based on the limited experience I have with my blasters but don't take em outside, the posts catch major gravel if you have wheels smaller than 65mm and I'm still paranoid about it lol.

I saw Snow Whites frames on Amazon with these boots but I feel like this boot if good for quads but inlines should have figure skating boots. They look nice, still not sure

I love these skates …. I am curious your thoughts on how the Chaya Melrose Premium compares to a pro skate like this? Would love your thoughts.. getting back into artistic skating and going to be teaching at local rink and they want of course an artistic skate.. Edea and Harlick are my go tos when needed a pro skate and as it seems I need one now…. But then we see Chaya’s Melrose Premium also with a the TPU toe cap welded in as well as their Zenna plate airplane grade aluminum thicc looks similar to the RollLines Variant plates… if added indoor wheels your thoughts if tried them?
They also come with that soft memory foam micro fiber suede shit and at $209-299 versus $450 plus

I mean…. If you haven’t tried them.. would LOVE for you too and make a review. Thank you!

Hey TJ great review, I have been skating for a while and I do a lot of jam, rhythm, and artistic skating, and right now I’m in my VNLA GODFATHERS. They aren’t made for all that so what would be the best size and plate for me ? I am 6’2 177 athletic build size 12 ?

Lol. I feel the same way about the Thrust plate. Not worth the holes in the boot.

I've seen that you can order the Edeas with extra width in the ball of the foot. Is this what you would recommend for people with a wide forefoot or is there another boot that's better for this?

I have been looking at this boot and this vid really helped me decide to get em! I have never owned an Edea boot (or any artistic boot) and was wondering if you could help with the sizing? I have a US Women's 8 or Men's 6 and my foot measured 25-25.5cm. I believe I should get the 265 but I'm afraid of ordering wrong as I have no way of trying the boots out before purchasing

hey thanks for the review of this! question re mounting. bought some rondos for my variant plates. Edea just give you screws, for rhythm or artistic will this hold? im 6 ft guy and want to put these boots to work and feel like i should use the long bolts like a traditional set up... any experience with the screws or preference?

Would Roll line be the only plate you would say is a good match for this boot?
