Jan, you are making history in rc boat scratch building videos on YouTube... And this is not flattering, it is the truth; there is nothing similar in scratch building. And you sharing your techniques helping new scratch builders saving time. I love the extra laminated balsa stringers. Oh and excellent plans... I am currently using the free version of delftship but I can't print the plans in actual size... So I use another free 2D program to reproduce them and print them. 👍👌

Great build technique. Loved the zip-ties trick to hold the stringers in place while drying.

I already know that this is going to be an epic build! I think you're on the right track going with stingers as apposed to struts. I'm gonna throw this out there - think about two rudders.

At first a thought it was lazer cut, but its hand made, really good quality work, look forward to seeing the rest of the build. Ps you can't beat a good home made build, this skill is being lost with just kits. Keep up the good work, it's inspiring.

Very interesting to see, but all that work... I see myself as a real rc enthousiast that likes to build, test creative ideas or try to make parts myself but this is just a step to far for me. But someone mentioned lasercut, that is an idea (for the future maybe). Sell models in a cut package..
Think youre right about the drives btw. I think that is more efficient and possibly easier to get it to run good... Nice work

I have now done some testing with my new 3d printed boat we discussed a while ago. I have not measured the speed yet, but it’s super fast!

Great video, and really helpful, cant wait to get started on my own. What thickness are the stringers? I take it those are just cut from the plywood sheets?

Hello. What saw blade do you use? It makes extremely clean cuts.
