My old Greek landlord in Athens back in the 80s would eat watermelon with feta on the balcony every night on the hot summer nights. The whole neighborhood could smell it. He would be amazed to see that watermelon and feta is a trend now! 😄

I love watermelons. Once every few years, I accidentally manage to buy (in the UK) a watermelon that was not harvested months ago. Those who have tasted watermelon freshly picked (chilled) knows the difference in taste and texture.

Lovely...Interesting the way the watermelon was sliced and the rim cucumber flavors coming we just scoop out and discard the rest...But once had a vegetable preparation made with watermelon outer green portion...Did not suit the stomach though...

making this but with goat cheese...i love goat cheese with fruit due to its mildness. Feta is too strong imo.
