Answers -
For Question 6 -> Answer is 3 NF
Candidate Keys are -> (AB), (C), (AD)

For Question 7 -> Answer is BCNF
Candidate Keys are -> (A)

For Question 8 -> Answer is 2 NF
Candidate Keys are -> (CA), (CB)

For Question 9 -> Answer is BCNF
Candidate Keys are -> (AB), (BC), (AC)

3:02 you said key and non key attribute determining a non key attribute is not transitive dependency but in your 3NF video you said it is transitive dependency. Can you or someone please explain?

mam in the 3rd question it violates the 2NF but works in 3NF how ??

For Question 8 - > I think the answer should be 2 NF,
as Candidate Keys are - (AC), (BC)
so key attributes - {A, B, C}
Non Key Attributes are- {D, E}
Now we come to Functional Dependency
[A-> B ] (Violation Of BCNF)
[B->A] (Violation of BCNF)
[AC->D] ( as AC is CK, so it is in BCNF)
[D->E] (Transitive Dependency ), hence not in 3NF

So highest Normal Form is 2NF

q 8 is 2NF bcoz i m getting keys as AC BC and their is violation in D to E relation as it is non prime to non prime attribute
