I was a front office supervisor of a large hotel in Chicago. About 5 years ago, the Nation of Islam had a large convention at the hotel. They completely filled the hotel and used about 10 banquet rooms. I swear to god, they were the nicest people to deal with and they gave me and each of my staff at least 2 dozen bean pies. I was hooked with the first bite!!

When I lived in Los Angeles, I bought my first beanpie from a Muslim brother selling pies on Crenshaw Ave. It was so delicious.

This video teach me way more than just about bean pie. The history of American Muslim need to be acknowledge for their hardships and dakwah especially by Muslims who live in a privileged country who can label themselves as an Islamic countries without acting like ones should be. May Allah bless you for this exposure.

The Navy Bean Soup by the NOI should also be included in this historical account. Not just the Bean pie, also the Navy Bean soup made as per the NOI.Navy Bean Soup with the NOI recipe has also been made since the 1930s.

Never thought I'd see my street on here! I live 2 blocks away, this place is right next to a mosque and I've gone in the bakery before. The food is great! And there are lots of shops right there that cater to Muslims ❤️
