The K1 (Masherbrum) Disaster

K1, aka Masherbrum, is a jagged peak that has been overshadowed by the infamous K2. However, K1 is an even more difficult ascent; one of the hardest mountains to climb in the entire world, and few climbers dare attempt to ascend its steep, treacherous slopes.

Ironic that the climber who strayed off the path ended up surviving. So many times that ends in disaster. Then to climb down one of the most difficult mountains solo. That's an amazing feat.

I wonder if the mountaineer returned to camp was aided by his fall. No one can repeat the route because the fall is integral to it’s successful descent.

That’s totally bad ass never knew about the imposing impossibly of K-1 it’s never going anyplace but the expedition costs of sherpas alone and experienced enough climbers ( ten world wide ?), no one is willing to temp fate I loved your Ogre Mountain video BTW your productions are always a treat .
