Interestin video, i was always thinking about this - mixed solutions, where control plane nodes are deployed in a stable environment like cloud, and worker nodes are some cheap second hand machines that run in my apartment.
Just one proposal - if you know that you will have spare time, instead of experimenting with deployment tools, create a quick presentation before the video with visual information about the network mesh, etc, it will be more clear for us what is going on.
