The point is that the relationship was already on its last legs if they were going to let a website become the deciding factor of whether they were going to be together or not. He wouldn't press a single button and accept her request, and she didn't trust him enough for his petty refusal. This adds to the album's theme of duality and fleeting love.

I know I'm late to the party. It's just that a lot here say it's stupid because if he doesn't care for facebook then why not just add her. But that's the whole point, obviously the woman let social media cantrol her life. But so does he, even if he claims he doesn't care and he only sees it as a stupid social media, he does care in his own way, knowingly or not. Social media is effecting everybody with all different perspectives, she judges him just like he judges her for it.

So I was just walking in a rainy day after school like 3 weeks ago, I was listenning to blond on spotify (the whole album) while walking after school to the bus, I had like 15 minutes left to walk to the bus and I was sort of chilling, then this track came on.
I know it is weird to cry to this song, I know there were many songs before "FaceBook Story" or not many people cry to this song... I don't know the background music with the pianos while he is explaining his "FaceBook Story" like a very warm-hearted trust worthy friend and explaining his situations he has been struggling with really hit me deep.
Mostly my cry came from the background instrumental? I don't know if it was a sample or not? but Beatiful. It really made me think about my life and I would give this song and album a 10/10.

If you have or haven't heard of this album YET, I recommend listenning to the whole thing while it is raining, it sort of cured my depression because nobody talks to me honestly or kind-heartedly, or nobody overall speaked to me because I was lonely and didin't know how lonely I've been living for the past 2 months and just studying, like I remember my parents were the only people talking to me at that time and they would only ask for me to do work and stuff. Anyways I felt really connected spiritually to facebook story, sure my favorite in the album is Nights or Pink+White or White Ferrari, but no matter how simple this is, it still would get a strong 10/10 and fits perfectly with the next song, thank you Frank Ocean for this masterpiece.
