Vuforia Model Targets is a feature of the Vuforia Augmented Reality platform that enables the recognition and tracking of physical objects as markers for augmented reality experiences. It works by using a 3D model of the object, which is used as a reference to identify and track the object in real-time using a device's camera.

To use Vuforia Model Targets, you first create a 3D model of the object you want to use as a target. This can be done using a variety of 3D modeling software tools. You then upload the 3D model to Vuforia and create a Model Target database, which contains information about the model, including its size, shape, and texture.

Once the database is created, you can use the Vuforia SDK to recognize and track the object in real-time using a mobile device's camera. The SDK uses the device's camera to capture images of the object and compares them to the reference model in the database to determine its position and orientation. This information is then used to render virtual content on top of the real-world object, creating an augmented reality experience.

Vuforia Model Targets can be used in a variety of applications, including industrial and manufacturing, retail and marketing, and gaming and entertainment.

Vuforia Multi-Target is a feature of the Vuforia AR platform that allows you to recognize and track multiple targets simultaneously in the same augmented reality experience. With Vuforia Multi-Target, you can create complex AR experiences that incorporate multiple physical objects or images as triggers for AR content.

Hi, thanks a lot for the tutorial! But I have a question about the model target about model target generator, when I import a model the “Coloring” tag turn red and shows “ No coloring” and the “Progress” shows “Medium” instead of “Ready”. When I import database from this model, the model can not be detected in unity. How does this happened?

How well would you expect this to work for a tall statue outside, if one had access to a precise 3D model as the reference? If you wanted to augment the statue with additional 3D geometry etc

Hello! Thx for the video. But I faced the problem here. Unity tells me this error when after I do all the steps Couldn't create a preview for the target [pmc5axmachine] in dataset [pmc5axmachine]. Check the VuforiaConfiguration if you have the 'Disable model extraction from databases' flag enabled. Have u faced this kind of error before when doing this? Thx

And where do I get the 3D model I want to target ?

hi. i try Model Targets for a building (20m height) and it worked, but object's position/ rotation look bad. i used Area Target for a room and it worked perfect.
Do you think i should use Area Target for that building ?

Why my unity project with vuforia doesn't work on my smartphone?
I'm trying to create an AR application using Vuforia instead of ARFoundation. I'm using Unity version 2022.3.11, and I've installed Vuforia Engine 10.18.4. I removed the main camera and replaced it with Vuforia's ARCamera. I've configured Vuforia and added the license key. I also added an image target with a specific 3D model. When I test it in 'play mode, ' the application works, but when I build it for Android (both for the OnePlus Nord 2 with Android 13 and the Motorola Edge 20 Lite), it doesn't work. It doesn't seem to detect the image target at all. In the project settings, 'arm64' is checked, and 'arm7' is not. The Android API level is already set to Android 8.0. What could be the reason for this issue?

What I would expect is that when I point the AR app at the image, a 3D model should be overlaid on that image. However, what actually happens is that nothing appears.

Hi, Thanks for the tutorial. All works very very well on PC webcam when I play. After I build in android and upload to my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, error message shows 'There was a problem while parsing the package'. Can pls help? Thanks.
