I love this LP. I was a fm dj way back in1977-19822. I actually got serious heat from my program director for playing Barnaby's on the air on Sunday morning. I thought Sunday am was safe for Christian rock. I guess I was mistaken. Anyway, Barnaby's remains as one of my favorite 80s bands to this day. God bless y'all.

I first heard about this group in Oregon in 1980. It was a 45 with Directory Assistance and Father of Lies on it. As soon as I got home to Iowa I tried to get that album

Great album and group. Nothing subtle about their message. Just in your face gospel truth. I wish today's Christian rock bands had the courage to do it like Barnabas!

I'm listening to this album on April 26th 2022, the 1st time in over 30 years. I have the vinyl at home I used to listen to it all the time. Do you notice how all the songs except one (Father of Lies) is evangelistic in theme? Bringing back a lot of memories

During the late 1980s, I played drums in an evangelistic band that covered _Savior_ and _Directory Assistance._ Fun songs, fun times. "Hear The Light" is one of the best albums ever!

A friend of mine Quincy, who was interviewing Christian artists back then, told me that when they recorded this album the technician told him that they did it all in one take.
Great music, intense, interesting, inspired. Message is spot on. Still plays today. Father of lies is crazy true in our days. I just arrived here in LA a year ago as pastor of First Baptist LA, anyone know if any of the band members are around?

This was reissued later with a different LP cover, . Not sure why, but these cats looked totally different on the reissued cover, a little more "normal" and not near as "radical" as they look here--perhaps a record label decision?

Wanna hear somethin' funny? I just saw an interview with NancyJo- she recalled how religious leaders in 1980 thought this cover design was offensive and evil! (Hence the more-bland LP design for their follow-up "Find Your Heart A Home".)
