My abuser is actually my dad. It's been 2 years now since I looked at him in the eyes, I don't remember his face, just that scary looking he had the last time I saw him by accident. When he comes home to take things or fix something, I lock my room and hide under sheets trying to stay silent and calm. He's not going to hurt me anymore, but that's how my body reacts because I'm scared of what he was in the past.

This trial must have been hell for Johnny. Even after he got the truth out, even behind the wisecracks and under the smiles.. he was hurting. He had to expose his most private life to the world and re-live the physical, mental, verbal, and emotional abuse. But he came out on top. He's a survivor. He's so happy and relaxed now (touring with Jeff Beck) he's like a new man. He looks happier and healthier and just enjoying living his life - the best revenge. Revenge of class and integrity.
