Yeah just wanted to comment to say great job on making these vids - really clear and simple, easy to understand for beginners. I think people who are comfortable with the tools forget how daunting it is to anyone starting out - even experienced musicians can be lost when trying to produce something in a software DAW like Logic. Great video thanks. I’m even more of a beginner than this video I think, as I don’t know what sidechained means or how to know what different elements to put in (aside from the obvious kick, snare, hi hat, bass, vocals) it’s all those little elements and small adjustments that make the song sound pro, but it’s not easy to know what to add where! A start to finish video would be awesome. Love your style, I’ll check out some more videos thanks!

I usually produce Trap (rap metal like city morgue) but decided to make a pop song for my portfolio along the lines of that “we ain’t never getting olderrr” chainsmokers song.
The first word that came to mind while watching this was “Brilliant”.
You showed us how to lay the foundation, now we can pour the concrete 😂.

I'm just beginning this journey. When mixing songs, what about copyright? Like, if I buy a song off BeatPort, for example, am I allowed to publish my mix that includes any given song onto say SoundCloud without getting any copyright problems? I don't know how that works.
