I danced the last dance at my prom with a young pretty woman named Bobbie. One year later I left for Marine Boot Camp in 68.. I said my good byes on the phone to her when the guy she would marry was there.

I did not talk to her to 40 years later. We never met again and she died. I remember that dance, her beauty, and her smile.

What can you say...there will be thousands of singers...but there will always be the one and only singer of singers.. Francis Albert Sinatra...pure class, style....the chairman of the board....as a humble muso I listen to a lot of singers and bands and stars and divas and blah blah blah...no one can match the phrasing and projection of his voice...he doesn't sing...he paints a picture with his voice, something that is not learnt at prestigious places of music can't learn this stuff...this is persona...angel...whatever you want to call it...he was and always will be the best and top jazz cat

Vince Damone also is one of the best to sing that song. Many sang this song among them, Nat King Cole, Andy Williams, Johnny Mathis (Mathis in a style of his own) 87 years old and still singing. All of them, except Mathis, have left us and God bless them all wherever they are. All of them were a great gift from the Almighty.
