Greywater recycling

Waste water from showers, baths and wash-hand basins is called grey-water. With relative ease grey-water can be treated up to 2nd class quality, suitable for flushing toilets with or for irrigation. This can replace a considerable amount of the more expensive 1st class tap water.

You don’t need to treat the graywater from hand bassins and showers (or even washing machines and dishwashers) since it will be used to flush the toilets and not for drinking or gardening purpose. Just collect it as is and flush away.

Cheaper solution (and easier) - I have a santized bucket that is in the shower that collects the water. I usually position it for optimal fill. I flush the toilet with this by pouring the water directly into the toilet (not opening the tank). Works great with the more recent toilets that are designed to flush (low flush toilets).

if we use pump to store the water in flush tank then its not economical but if we exceed the height of bathroom so that the waste water can easily fill the flush tank without investing any energy source then it will be very use full. :)

Ho estly i dont even think you have to filtrate and treat the gray water. And they should have added the water from laundry as well

Your water bill is the lowest of all utilities, why use grey water.
