PCN Parking Text Message Scam!

Many users have received messages about PCN, which stands for Parking Penalty Charge Notices.

These messages claim that a fine has been issued by the local council, warning that if the fine isn’t paid within 28 days, a charge certificate will be sent. You’ll have 14 more days to pay but with an added 50 percent penalty.

If you fail to pay, they threaten prosecution, a larger fine, and court costs. At the end of these texts, they conveniently provide a link to pay the fine.

Understandably, these messages have scared many people, and they’re unsure whether they’re legitimate.
