At some point something like that was reported, cant remember the sources and i do not know how it disappeared. All schools were to be Tz curriculum run. Believe me, its not an easy thing to implement, at IISM alone, 90% of the, almost 1000 students are foreigners, and I mean foreigners white. Think of all the other schools.
The Tanga one would be the third school I know that closed after that. A neighbouring school closed and we had a lot of students from there, because running the British curriculum effectively and efficiently is expensive and they could not afford, they genuinely told parents so. The second one called herself a British curriculum school and the reality was pathetic. It was actually the ministry of education taking measures against their lies. They did that to get clients. Some schools will not tell you the truth of why they closed down.
Chris I think its not fair to judge a nation so harshly based on a visit to one school. You were a few googles and emails away to finding the truth. Right next to Tanga there is Moshi International School.
The contracts that the President broke, and they were mainly mines related, were ridiculously non profitable to this nation. Get the details of madudus that were involved in those contracts and tell me who in their sound patriotic mind would agree with that. A few greedy people were paid and had their children study huko nje and they literary sold those mines.
