I have been caught by the benefit thing. I cancelled my carers allowance that I was receiving for my father, and instead of cancelling the associated Income Support they increased which I assumed to be the correct way. I have now been told that not only was I wrong in cancelling the carers allowance, but the Northern Ireland Benefits Agency are now going to be billing me for around 2k for the overpayment of Income Support. I wonder did they ever send any request for repayment to Baroness Moane ?

Claimants are increasingly having difficulty accessing GP services to get a diagnosis. GP's who had high levels of issuing un-Fit notes were targeted by the DWP. The DWP are on occasions ignoring the GP issued un-Fit Notes and then pushing claimants to look for work.

In Scotland, the SNP and the Greens give ‘real’ left-wingers some hope. Labour and the traditional centre-right Tory are very close together. We have a choice in Scotland, England has none.

These DWP ministers and employees are treating people this maliciously in an environment with little to no support.

The Govt (and support agencies) would do well to look at the horrific outcome of 'benefit crackdown' by the Australian Govt. Here it was called Robodebt, but it was an ideology that drove people to awful choices.
